A Unique Mall Faced Challenging Times

The WaterFall Strategy helped Alfida add some lift to a growing venture.

Robert Lopez renovated the Charlotte-based mall in 2008 – just as the economy was contracting. He needed a lift, and fast.

Seeking additional investment funding, he contacted WaterFall CEO and co-founder, Bruce Mavrick. Seeing the promise in Robert’s retail track record, Bruce took a chance on The Alfida Enterprises Mall. And as WaterFall grew, so did Robert’s business. The two of them now enjoy a warm friendship.

"With WaterFall’s transparency you know what you’re getting into," says Robert. He has since received funding using our WaterFall Strategy, nine more times. He most recently received funding for an online advertising program. "Funding's very easy," says Robert. "And as the business grew and I took more capital, the terms got better."

Robert has since expanded his business to include a location in Gastonia, NC.
